ADVENTURE roles

Do you love emotions and heights? Aren’t you afraid to spend the night out in the open? Then this role could be right for you! Adventure sports are a wide area in the camps. It is not always necessary to be a professional in a particular area, but the willingness to learn and get your hands dirty is essential. These activities allow campers the opportunity to get out of their comfort zone and overcome their fears and in return develop skills that will help them in their future. Kids love adventure shows. They enjoy the thrill of being on top of the trees, walking on a mountain. It is certainly a very popular choice among campers. Usually, each camp will have a different adventure program. If this is an area you want to work in, we’ll work with you and put you in a camp that suits your skills and level of experience.

Some of the roles will require prior training or knowledge while others just look for a good attitude and someone with a lot of imagination.

Rope-related activities include low ropes, Tarzan swing, Jacobs ladder, milk box stack, faith jump and flying squirrel.

If you are accepted as a rope instructor, you will do a training before the arrival of the campers. You’ll get a certification, which will also include first aid, a great help for your future employment!

Activities in this area include shelter construction, fire making, hiking, fishing, map reading and many more activities!

Whether it be cows, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, snakes and even gerbils many camps will have animals at their camp. A good level of experience working with animals is required for this role.

AQUATIC roles

Swimming is a quintessential camp activity that offers entertainment to all ages and abilities through those long summer days. Camps across America have a wide range of inflatables for the lake, ski boats, sail boats, assault courses…

Anyone considering a role in aquatics must be confident in their swimming abilities, be a qualified lifeguard or be capable of becoming one prior to the arrival of the camper. Some of the camps will put you through a lifeguard certifications when you get to camp, whilst others will need you to get one from home first.
